Amy was born in Brooklyn, New York but raised in Mexico City where she learned about make up. She developed her skills as a stylist at an early age when she played with her mom's cosmetics and practiced with her adult family members. During her teenage years Amy took lessons in make up and styling from artists who freelanced with their clients. Her interest in make up led her to take classes and pursue her career professionally as a make up artist. It was around this time that Amy met Eduardo Arias, stylist to the stars in Mexico's TV station Televisa. Eduardo Arias was promoting Nu Skin Products, which at the time was being introduced to the Mexican market. Amy was a representative of this new cosmetic line. Mr. Arias was well known in the industry and took Amy under his wings to refine her skills and assist her development as a professional make up artist. 

As a cosmetic sales person, Amy met Roberto Balbuena, also a celebrity makeup artist, who would later become Amy's tutor, mentor and friend. She would work under his guidance for the next two years before returning back to her native New York where she expanded her career in cosmetology and make up artistry. In 2006 she would study at the prestigious Empire Beauty School where she perfected her skills of corrective make up, beauty and style. She would also study at the Aveda Carsten Institute where she majored in cosmetology and later obtained her New York State license in 2008. She completed her Master in Make Up Artist in beauty and avant-garde cosmetology at Makeup Desognery and Tony and Guy to perfect her hair cutting technique.

Her career also includes working at Macy's Herald Square as a representative of Benefit Cosmetics, Artistry and Nu Skin two of the most prestigious private labels in cosmetics.  She has extensive work with renowned photographers like Marco Vazquez, Sekou Luke and Laurie. She also worked for Telemundo as a make up artist for a children's program "Los Llaveritos de T-tin", and as a makeup artist for catalogs such as eCustom ID among others. 

Amy's passion and professionalism have taken her to work in the bridal industry. She has worked with all types of women providing high quality service, and a touch of glamour for every occasion.  Amy works with her clients at the comfort of their homes, offices or venues. She also speaks four languages: English, Spanish, French and Italian.
